Super-Resolution Fluorescence Microscopy of Cell Motility in Sperm Cells

Abstract: Sperm cells are highly specialized cells with intricate structural organizations that are often impossible to resolve with conventional fluorescence microscopy. Sang-Hee Shim, Korea University, and Jean-Ju Chung, Yale University, introduce standard and upcoming 3D Super-Resolution microscopes based on single-molecule localization and presents how its application has uncovered nanometer-scale organizations of molecules in sperm cells.
