PHB/V Spherulite 

This movie shows the growth front of a polyhydroxybutyrate-co-valerate spherulite crystallizing at room temperature. The phase image sequence shows differences in mechanical contrast between the soft melt and the hard crystals. 

Scan rate 40 Hz, scan size 1.5 µm.
