Imaris and Imaris Viewer now provide direct access to the remote Imaris Training Hub Center, which contains curated educational datasets, predefined workflows, and training materials. Users can download the contents of the remote repository to a user-defined local directory (default location: My Documents/Imaris/Imaris/11.1/Training).The Imaris Training Hub Center includes:

• Pre-analyzed datasets with embedded workflows
• Tutorial videos
• Imaris data demonstration videos
• Supplementary tutorial documentation

Imaris Training Hub Center is a remote data repository hosted on Microsoft Azure Blob Storage and is owned and operated by Andor Technology Ltd. All datasets, videos, and documents made available within the repository are designated as educational materials and are created and uploaded exclusively by authorized members of the Imaris team under controlled processes.

Access to the repository and all stored data is protected with industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, as well as role-based access controls. Access is restricted to specifically authorized Imaris personnel in accordance with the principle of least privilege and internal information security policies.

From the end-user perspective, the Imaris application establishes a secure connection to the Azure Blob Storage environment solely for the purpose of retrieving file metadata (including thumbnail previews) and enabling access to training materials. The system supports strictly unidirectional data transfer, permitting download of content from the repository to the user’s local environment.

Users must take explicit action to select individual files or initiate bulk download of available materials. No automated or implicit data transfer to the user’s system is performed.

The Imaris application does not collect, transmit, upload, or otherwise process any data from users’ local storage in connection with the Imaris Training Hub Center. Consequently, no user-originating data is transferred to the Azure Blob Storage environment as part of this functionality.

All processing and access controls are designed to align with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as relevant information security standards such as ISO/IEC 27001.

Users can now export only selected statistical values in a tabular format, making downstream analysis more efficient. This targeted export feature simplifies data handling for external statistical tools.

Imaris Arena has been extended to support additional file types associated with the Imaris Training Hub Center, including multimedia and documentation files. Specifically, thumbnail previews are now generated for:

• Video formats: .mp4, .avi
• Document format: .pdf

These files can be opened directly from Imaris Arena using the system’s default video player or PDF reader via double-click interaction.

Imaris 11.1 introduces enhanced file management capabilities within Imaris Arena:

• Search: Users can filter files dynamically by entering full or partial filenames into a free-text search field. The interface updates in real time to display only matching results.
• Sorting: Files can be sorted based on:
  • File type
  • Date modified

Sorting can be applied in both ascending and descending order to streamline dataset navigation.

Imaris 11.0 introduces the ability to save multiple "Views" within a dataset using Snapshots. This way researchers will always be able to save multiple interesting angles inside one dataset. Imaris also now allows to create multiple Key Frame Animations for one dataset to save time recreating visual stories.

Imaris and Imaris File Converter now include an official Zeiss CZI file reader, enabling native support for .czi file formats. This integration ensures accurate and efficient conversion of CZI datasets into the .ims format for downstream visualization and analysis workflows.

Imaris 11.1 introduces streamlined access to Imaris Technical and Application Support directly within the software via a dedicated interface button. This feature is available to users with an active maintenance plan and facilitates faster access to expert assistance and support resources.

Users can now directly access the Imaris Connect platform from within the software environment. This includes:

• Invitations to upcoming webinars and online training sessions hosted by Imaris experts
• Access to on-demand recordings of previous webinars and training events

This integration provides a centralized entry point for ongoing education and community engagement.

The new options inside 1D and 2D Vantage Plots allow users to compare analysis results across experimental groups and datasets, providing powerful tools for identifying trends and differences in data.

In Imaris Viewer 11.1 Users can open a dataset with a Workflow previously created in Imaris. Users can see the creation parameters for each of the steps as well as Image pre-processing applied. Imaris Viewer does not allow either for changing or modifying the Workflow or exporting it, so it should be considered as a Read-Only option.
