Minimum distance of spots to surface edge

Finds the minimum distance from spots to the edge of a surface and adds this as a custom statistic. The code works better than the built in XT function because it is not limited by the bit depth of data (i.e. 8 bit data can have a greater distance than 255) and it is optimized for extremely large datasets
